Several design approaches will be reviewed highlighting the pros and cons of each. The reviews will include system designs and piping arrangements that include non-integrated and integrated economizers, cooling tower sizing strategies and winterization considerations, gasket plate heat exchangers selection and sizing considerations, and closed circuit cooling tower considerations. The presentation will also include operational considerations for entering and exiting economizer mode to minimize equipment problems and overall operating costs.
