The Rocky Mountain ASHRAE YEA committee has organized a HVAC educational series of events for young engineers to enjoy a night of free education, dinner and networking. The educational programs are aimed to focus on basic fundamentals of HVAC design to help reinforce young engineers’ design skills. The presentations will last about an hour while attendees enjoy dinner and there will be time for questions and discussions before and after the presentation.

    Topic: Controls 101

Ken Nekvasil will be giving an introduction to DDC control basics including communication fundamentals, protocols,  integration techniques, and discuss the future of Building Automation. He will also review common scope gaps in projects and answer other questions YEA members may have on controls in the market. Ken has been with ATS Rocky Mtn for almost 5 years. Prior to ATS, he worked at Setpoint, Siemens, and Trane. ATS Rocky Mtn has been the authorized Alerton Controls dealer for the past 10 years in the Colorado market.

ATS as a whole is privately owned company with 14 offices and over 400 employees covering Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Alaska, and Antarctica. Alerton is a fully BACnet DDC Controls product developed in Seattle over 30 years ago and now is globally represented.

Please email [email protected] with any questions in regards to this event or if you would be interested in sponsoring the next program for the educational series.
