Topic: Edge Data Centers and Next Generation Cooling Strategies

    Overview:

This presentation discusses the exponential change in the ways that society will consume data with 5G networks, autonomous cars, artificial intelligence, virtual currencies, and the Internet of Things.  With these conveniences will come necessary changes to the existing data center cooling model; which will require the use of liquid to chip cooling.

    Presenter:

David C. Meadows II has worked in data center cooling since 1999.  He is currently the Director of Industry, Standards, and Technology with Stulz, a manufacturer of precision air conditioning, humidification, and dehumidification products specifically designed for the data center.  Previously David has served as both the Design Engineering Manager and the Applications Engineering Manager at Stulz.  He is a voting member of ASHRAE TC 9.9  as well as the SPC 127 committee. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and is a graduate of the United States Navy Nuclear Power School.
