    Company/Title:              Xylem, Inc. Vice-President, Product Regulatory & Public Affairs

    Speaker Bio:               

    Mark leads Xylem’s global effort to influence and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for pump products.  He works closely with government agencies, trade associations and other organizations to fulfill this role.  He has been with the company since 1983 and previously held positions in Sales Management and Product Marketing for Bell & Gossett products.

    Mark has represented Xylem on the Hydraulic Institute Pump Efficiency Expert Team which negotiated Clean Water Pump efficiency regulations with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).  He was recognized for his leadership by the Hydraulic Institute on this team.  He has also served on the DOE Working Group on Circulator Pump Efficiency Standards. 

    Mark graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in General Engineering and later obtained an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Industrial Marketing.

    Presentation Topic Title:         U.S. Dept of Energy Pump Energy Conservation Standards

    Topic Description:         The U.S. Department of Energy Pump Energy Conservation Standards go into effect in January 2020 and will have a broad impact on the pumps sold in the HVAC market.  This presentation will explain what these new standards are? What impact do they have on HVAC systems?  And discuss how manufacturers are changing their pump product to get in compliance.
