    Highlighting the Denver Water Project

Description: The panel will present a broad overview of the new Denver Water Campus Redevelopment project and then take your questions, specifically with a focus on control design, implementation and system testing.  The Denver Water Campus features multiple high performance buildings across a newly redeveloped campus featuring Net Zero Energy Buildings, “One-Water” Black, Grey and Rain Water Capture, and other numerous specialty features

Ken Urbanek, Client Executive and Engineer of Record with IMEG Corp:  Ken lead IMEG’s entire multi-discipline team for the project and provided design oversight for the mechanical design.  Ken lead the design of the campus control system.  Ken was the ASHRAE Rocky Mountain Chapter President in 2010-11.

Walker Jones, Sr. Mechanical Engineer with IMEG Corp:  Walker has over 17 years of experience and was the lead mechanical project engineer for the project.  Walker led the design for the campus distribution, central plant and Net-Zero Energy Administration building.  Walker has a strong technical focus on Geothermal Design.

Kenny Sibley, Technical Manager with Unify Energy Solutions:  Kenny has over 42 years of experience in the commercial building controls and building automation industry.  Kenny has extensive experience in application engineering, software development, custom programming, third-party integration, plant design assist, plant management, and quality assurance.  Kenny is a member of the ASHRAE Guideline 36 – High Performance Sequence of Operations committee.

Gregory Evans, Senior Commissioning engineer with Ambient Energy:  When it comes to the built environment, Gregory has two passions: improving existing buildings by implementing challenging controls strategies that balance the many needs of Owners and Occupants and making use of the myriad data collected by building systems to elucidate improvement opportunities.  Complimenting Gregory’s commissioning experience is his past employment as a test and balance contractor and an energy analysis for operations and maintenance teams.  This experience provides paralleled knowledge of building systems and client expectations.
